The third steering committee chaired by Ms. ELOUNDOU Joséphine Technical Advisor No.1 at MINEPDED and representative of the Minister of the Environment, Protection of Nature and Sustainable development was aimed at reviewing the project activities implemented between 2019-2020 based on the 2nd annual work plan and budget validated during the second steering committee., the difficulties encountered as well as propose recommendations to overcome such challenges.

Ms. ELOUNDOU Joséphine Representative of MINEPDED in her opening remarks congratulated the Project management Unit of the project and their commitment despite the prevailing socio-political challenges and the outbreak of the COVID 19

Mr. ADAMOU BOUHARI (UNEP Task Manager) during his speech to the committee members highlighted the fact that this steering committee was not only geared at reviewing project implementation rates but also to introduce the consultant who was going to carry out the mid-term review (MTR) of the project in the person of Dr. Leonard Usongo.
